Predators home games vs. Avalanche, Blue Jackets postponed after water main break in downtown Nas

Friday and Saturday’s NHL games scheduled to be played at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena have been postponed after a water main break in the city’s downtown flooded portions of the arena. The Predators were slated to host the Colorado Avalanche on Friday and the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Water began pouring from a sidewalk on Demonbreun Street around 6 a.m. ET, according to WKRN. The water is from a private service line that feeds to Bridgestone Arena.
  • The water main break has “significantly impacted” the event level of the arena, the NHL said.
  • Makeup dates for Avalance-Predators and Blue Jackets-Predators will be announced as soon as a decision is reached.
